Sweet Cinnamon Maple Pecans

Ingredients

Nuts & Seeds

  • 1 lb pecan halves

Baking & Spices

  • ½ tsp cinnamon, ground

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ cup coconut sugar (or substitute cane sugar or raw honey)

  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Liquid

  • 2 tsp water

  • 2 tsp Paducah Olive Oil’s Maple Balsamic Vinegar

Other

  • 1 egg white, refrigerated

Instructions

  1. In a large ziplock bag, combine coconut sugar, cinnamon, and salt; shake to mix.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk egg white with water and vanilla until frothy.

  3. Add pecan halves to the frothy mixture and stir to coat evenly.

  4. Stir in maple balsamic vinegar and mix again.

  5. Transfer coated pecans into the cinnamon sugar bag. Zip and shake until evenly coated.

  6. Spread pecans onto a baking sheet lightly coated with olive oil.

  7. Bake at 250°F for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.

  8. Let cool completely before serving or packaging.

Notes

These pecans make excellent holiday gifts—simply pack into mason jars and wrap with ribbon or burlap for a festive touch.
