The Oakroom’s Bread Pudding

Ingredients
1 cup milk
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup sugar
4–5 cups bread, torn or cubed (day-old bread works best)
3 large eggs
Butter (for greasing pan)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Crumble or cube the bread and spread evenly in the prepared dish.
In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, and sugar until smooth.
Pour the mixture over the bread and stir gently to ensure all bread is coated.
Bake for about 50 minutes, or until pudding is set and golden on top.
Serve warm as is or with caramel, whipped cream, or ice cream.
