Spicy Citrus Wings

Zesty, sweet, and with a spicy kick, these Spicy Citrus Wings are a showstopper for any gathering. Using Paducah Olive Oil’s Cayenne Chile Pepper Olive Oil and fresh Cara Cara oranges, they deliver layers of bold flavor baked to crispy perfection.

Ingredients

  • 24 chicken wings, wing tips removed and cut at joint

  • 2 tbsp Paducah Olive Oil’s Cayenne Chile Pepper Olive Oil

  • 1 tsp salt

  • Zest of 1 orange

  • Juice of 3 Cara Cara oranges (or any orange you prefer)

  • ½ cup honey

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, 1 tsp salt, and orange zest.

  2. Coat the chicken wings in the oil mixture and place them on a baking sheet. Bake in a 400°F oven for 45–50 minutes, turning halfway through and draining any excess fat.

  3. In a saucepan, combine orange juice, honey, ½ tsp salt, and garlic powder. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the sauce thickens to a syrup-like consistency.

  4. Place the cooked wings in a large bowl, pour the sauce over, and toss until fully coated.

  5. Serve immediately and enjoy!
