Cajun Pasta with Creamy Sauce

A bold and creamy pasta dish featuring Cajun spices, fresh asparagus, and Parmesan — perfect for weeknight comfort food.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg spiral pasta

  • 1 lb fresh-cut asparagus

  • 2 cloves minced garlic

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tbsp Creole seasoning

  • 1 tsp pepper

  • 1 lb sausage (optional, for protein)

Directions

  1. Cook pasta in a large pot according to package directions. Add asparagus during the last 4 minutes of cooking.

  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage (if using) with minced garlic.

  3. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, Creole seasoning, and pepper. Cook about 3 minutes, until slightly thickened.

  4. Drain pasta and asparagus, reserving ½ cup cooking water. Add to the skillet and toss, adding reserved water as needed for desired creaminess.
