Cajun Pasta with Creamy Sauce
A bold and creamy pasta dish featuring Cajun spices, fresh asparagus, and Parmesan — perfect for weeknight comfort food.
Ingredients
1 pkg spiral pasta
1 lb fresh-cut asparagus
2 cloves minced garlic
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp Creole seasoning
1 tsp pepper
1 lb sausage (optional, for protein)
Directions
Cook pasta in a large pot according to package directions. Add asparagus during the last 4 minutes of cooking.
In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage (if using) with minced garlic.
Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, Creole seasoning, and pepper. Cook about 3 minutes, until slightly thickened.
Drain pasta and asparagus, reserving ½ cup cooking water. Add to the skillet and toss, adding reserved water as needed for desired creaminess.
