Mamaw’s Cornbread Dressing

Ingredients
1 ½ loaves stale white bread, crumbled (about 6–8 cups)
3 cups cornbread, crumbled (about 1 box prepared)
½ cup chopped onions
½ cup chopped celery
Turkey broth (enough to make mixture soupy)
2 tsp Paducah Olive Oil’s Butter Olive Oil
4 eggs, pre-beaten
1 tsp celery seed
½ tsp sage
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Crumble stale white bread and cornbread together in a large bowl.
Add chopped onions and celery to the bread mixture.
Mix turkey broth with Butter Olive Oil, then pour over the bread mixture until it’s soupy. Taste and season with salt and pepper (about 1 tsp if needed).
Stir in pre-beaten eggs, celery seed, and sage until combined.
Pour mixture into a greased baking dish.
Bake at 400°F for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, reducing heat to 350°F once it begins cooking well. Remove lid for the last 15 minutes to brown the top.
Serve warm alongside turkey or ham for a perfect holiday side.
